The licensing process

Three agreements are used in the TMS program:

  • Materials Transfer Agreement (MTA) - allows you to grow a line for evaluation purposes only for up to three years
  • Nonexclusive License Agreement - allows you to grow seed for sale for a set number of years (terms of individual agreements, including royalty and licensing fees, may vary)
  • Exclusive License Agreement - gives you exclusive rights to grow seed for sale for a set number of years (terms of individual agreements, including royalty and licensing fees, may vary)
